G4H FAQs

  • How do I register?
  • Just go to the registration page and register your GMail Account.

  • How do I start after registration?
  • Go to Google MapMaker, log-in using your Google Account (your email username) and label all health facilities within the Philippines.

  • How do I know my status in the contest?
  • Every 15th of the month, the National Telehealth Center will post the top 10 participants and the number of health facilities they have labeled through emails and posters. Based on that, you will have an idea of where your status is and if you need to pick up your pace in labeling.

  • What if the my area of interest (i.e. Batanes) is not visible in Google Map?
  • Unfortunately, you cannot label the health facilities in those areas and, thus, cannot put entries for such locations.

  • What if the street name in the area is wrong?
  • That is the precisely the reason why we recommend using the satellite view. Using the satellite view, you can pinpoint the actual geographical location at which the health facility is located. Disregard the streetname if it is wrong, as long as you put the facility in the correct location, that will be counted.

  • How do I know if the health facility I am thinking of is already labeled by other participants?
  • In Google MapMaker, before you start entering the health facility you want, click the "find" icon and type the desired name of the health facility. If the name appears, the health facility is already labeled by other participants/google users. You can also see this if you point your mouse on the desired location and there is already a label in that area.

  • What is the challenge period?
  • This is the period wherein the entries of the participants are validated. This is scheduled during the first 15 days of the following month (i.e. for March, the challenge period is April 1-15). The NThC and google will validate the entries. On the other hand, a participant can challenge an entry of another participant if it is deemed incorrect. This will be deducted in the overall tally.

  • What if a participant placed incorrect facilities just to increase his entries?
  • The participant is automatically disqualified from the contest.

  • How do I know if I won? How do I claim my prize?
  • An email and an sms will be sent to you after the challenge period. Winners will be notified after the 15-day challenge period. Claim your prize at the National Telehealth Center and look for Ms.Tina Onzaga. Prize is Php5000 every month and an Ipod Touch as the grand prize.

  • Where can I find more details about the contest?
